This is a performance to support the Australiana Fund, which was established in 1978 to raise funds to acquire and preserve a permanent collection of art works that are Australian by origin or by association. These Australian artistic and historical works are acquired to furnish the residences occupied by the Governor-General and the Prime Minister. Their official residences are Government House and the Lodge in Canberra and Admiralty House and Kirribilli House in Sydney.
Visitors can view the Government House collection and precincts (10.00am - 4.00pm) as well as enjoying the Monaro Folk Society dancers and the music of (1.40 - 3.00pm) and jazz duo Bernau & Lambert (12.30 - 1.20pm)
will present a repertoire of tangos and rags, collections of favourite Italian and Irish pieces and works from Russian, German, and Australian composers.
Bernau and Lambert will play their eclectic mix of jazz standards and their interpretations of more popular tunes from the 1960s to current times.
