Capital Country 100 Target: The Capital Country Network of Friends of Mahboba's Promise has started an initiaitive to get 100 people to sign up to sponsor the operational costs of the Childrens Centre run by Mahboba's Uncle Haji. $25 a month will help run the centre which is under threat of closure. Spain to France Bike Ride - Starting on 23rd August 2009, Raymond Nelson will
travel 2000 miles from the North of France to the South of Spain on a bicycle to raise money for Mahboba’s Promise. Raymond is seeking sponsorship. If you would like to sponsor Raymond, please visit www.mahbobaspromise.org.
Canberra Knitters - Knit for Afghan Woman and Children
Around 20 Canberra women are currently knitting items of clothing to donate to the women and children of Afghanistan through Mahboba's projects.
We are currently looking for options to support the delivery of the items once completed in September. Approximately 60 items will need to be shipped, if you have any suggestions or contacts who may be able to help please email friendsofmahboba(at)gmail.com
